The Unstoppable Worshipper

Here is the sixth devotion I wrote after I read the book entitled, “The Unquenchable Worshipper: Coming Back to the Heart of Worship,” by Matt Redman. I hope it blesses you.

The Unstoppable Worshipper…praises God in and out of circumstance. When confronted with adversity, this worshipper continues to lift the name of the Lord up high. No matter the giants that stand before this one, they will continue to walk in faith, witness in power and worship unfazed. This worshipper is not hindered in “their quest to glorify God.”

We know these kinds of worshippers. They make us uncomfortable. They see God at work in everything and in everything find ways to see Him get the credit, glory and praise He deserves. They make us uncomfortable because they see beyond the here and now; yet we like to be around them anyway. They remind us of our deep heritage of faith without limits, love without restraint and power wholly unleashed for God. If we listen closely we can hear the faithful of old singing God’s praise as they are led to the lions. We can see the bold preachers of our spiritual genealogy standing and sharing God’s love before angry and deadly crowds. We can even see our Lord Jesus confess the truth that the rocks will cry out because our God will be praised!

May we all find ourselves confronted, trusting and continuously praising the One who has called us to Himself. May we all become “Unstoppable Worshippers.”

Prayer:

Lord, help us all to find that sacred ground where no impediments can derail our heartfelt praise of Your Name. Amen.
